A Gusset is usually a triangular or diamond shaped piece of material. It is inserted into the seams of a garment. This is to give greater stretch, movement, and strength to that area of the garment. It is used with thight, awkward fitting garments, lingerie, and tights. There usually used around the hips, underarms, elbows, etc.
