Padding is when cushioned material (eg. wadding) is added to, or inserted into fabric or garments. Padding on a garment enhances certain parts of the figure. It also can be used to give various shapes to the garment. I can be used to alter the garment slightly (eg. padded bras, padded shoulders) or immensley (eg. Gareth Pugh's design below).
